The 2017 Honda Avancier will be Honda’s newest SUV that will be made targeting the Chinese market. This is not to say that it will not be sold to other countries. A US model may follow soon after its production begins. The concept was first introduced at the Beijing Auto Show of 2016 and here is a look at the details.
2017 Honda Avancier – Exterior and Interior Design
The Concept D that the car will be based on will see a few changes to result in a car that is appealing. The front will look more or less like that of the 2015-2016 Honda CR-V. The grille features a wavy mesh with a Honda emblem and a grey louvre. The headlights in place will be LED. The events cutout on the corners will be filled with trim inserts and the fog lights LED.
The wheel arches, side skirt and lower door parts are wider than other parts on the side. Along the centre of the side, skirts will be a grey body cladding. On the rear side of the car will be a chrome stripe that will run from one taillight to the other. On top of this will be the Honda emblem. The taillights will be C-shaped and a red reflector will be included as well. On the roof, there will most likely be roof rails.
On opening the doors to the 2017 Honda Avancier, you will be ushered into a small haven of luxury. With leather accents and large seats, the cabin will be a comfortable and luxurious place to stay in. Though there are not many details that have been released by Honda about the interior, it can be expected that it will have high-quality features. There will be a speedometer and tachometer on a six-inch display on the dashboard. The ignition switch will be a push button. At the centre will be a large touchscreen display with a few buttons for additional control. As for safety, you can expect that there will be some great features. Other luxurious features that will be included are heated seats, electronic parking brakes, panoramic glass roof and triple-zone heating and cooling.
2017 Honda Avancier – Engine and Performance
The 2017 Honda Avancier will be powered by a Super Turbocharged 4-cylinder 2.0-liter engine for the cars to be sold in the Chinese market. This is likely to produce 250 hp and 250 lb-ft of torque. In the US, the engine likely to be used will be the Accord’s 2.4-liter four cylinder engine that is normally aspirated. This engine will be mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission. More details on the performance and fuel economy of the 2017 Honda Avancier are yet to be released.
2017 Honda Avancier – Price and Release Date
Though Honda has not yet announced the official release date, it is likely that this SUV will be in the dealerships in late 2016. The price is yet to be announced as well. You can expect to know this as soon as the car is released. In conclusion, the Honda Avancier 2017 will be first sold in China and only if Honda deems it fit will the car be sold in other countries.
