A mid-sized crossover SUV from Mazda, the CX 7 was not exactly one of the bestsellers from the Japanese carmaker. Its production began in 2006 after the car was exhibited at Los Angeles Auto Show the same year. It was actually the first mid-size SUV of Mazda after the company stopped production of Navajo in 1994. Owing to its positioning between the midsize and compact crossovers and poor fuel economy of the turbocharged model, the CX 7 did not sell in good numbers. After 2012, Mazda brought in the CX 5. However, the company is re-launching the CX 7 in 2017 with some much-needed changes.
